Exotic, spicy and tasty Indonesian cuisine

Day 1: Kraton - Traditional Medicine - tasty exotic Indonesian kitchen

In the morning immerse into the city of Jogjakarta. Visit a home industry for traditional medicine called jamu, which is still widely used in Indonesia today. You can taste the medicine right in a small eating stall with a snack.
Afterwards visit the Sultan's Palace or Kraton and experience the hobby of the 9th Sultan. You will surely be amazed. Your lunch is served in a restaurant of the Kraton family. Buffet with a wide selection of typical Javanese dishes. The rest of the day is available for your own activities.

 

Day 2: Market experience - Cooking - Typical Indonesian street food - shadow play

Quirky markets are known throughout Indonesia. Go to the market and buy the ingredients for your lunch. Then prepare your own lunch and of course eat it later. The main shopping street, Malioboro, awaits you in the late afternoon when people are strolling, enjoying the sights, and sounds of street singers. Try different dishes at the eating stalls along Malioboro street. Do you still have energy? Then take a look at a life shadow play.

 

Day 3: Borobudur - village market - Spa - cooking course

The Borobudur temple calls in the early morning hours. Watch the temple from high above in the mystical haze. After visiting the temple, visit the local village market. A relaxing massage with fragrant ingredients of the Javanese tradition awaits you in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon, you have the opportunity to put your cooking skills to the test again.
