Next to the Sultan's Palace and the King's Mosque, visit the main Market Beringharjo with an infinite number of fabrics and batiks sold. After visiting the Sultan’s Palace or Kraton, visit an old-fashioned weaving mill, producing beautiful fabrics with ancient looms which have secured a place in the modern age. Later you’ll have the opportunity to get acquainted with the art of the creative batik artists in the old town who do mostly batic paintings.

Day 2: Visit a Batik factory - Batik Course - Ratu Boko Palace

In a batik factory, you’ll learn more about the various types of batik crafts. Afterwards, try to create a piece of fabric by yourself that you can take back home as a nice memory.
